Got home and saw the retail price and loved it even more :-)ĭon't get me wrong, I would never be able to do all of my shopping there, it's very hit or miss and a good day produces 1 or 2 things I like. I loved the luggage and then loved the price. I paid less than 1/3 price and am perfectly happy with last season's color, it's the color I prefer! However, I didn't see the price tags and decide I should buy it for the deal. The luggage I found online and they still make the same style, just in new colors, colors I didn't even like to be honest! The cheapest I found it online was right around 1/2 of retail, on clearance at Macys. The shoes I got I found online, they are current and still sell for $80 so I still feel like I got a good deal. I like simple basic pieces that I would wear now, 10 years ago, 10 years from now. Well fortunately for me I have never been into most of the fad styles. I did go back and visit it a few times before it was finally sold. The reason I didn't get it was because it was leather and quite heavy. Once in a while, you will find an excellent deal on luggage there, once I saw a carry on piece I loved, it was marked down to $350 from around $800 and well worth it. Stick it in a discount store and almost anything will sell. So,crzycick, sorry to tell you the price you paid was a fair price, probably just stuff that wasn't selling well in the regular retail market. I've checked out the luggage at TJ Maxx and there were a couple of good pieces, mostly cheap brands presented as luxury items. Macys runs ads for 40% off Victorinox on weekends, we have it at 40% off the msr all the time. I work in a luggage store, it's standard with the exception of high end stuff like Tumi or Rimowa. Luggage is always marked up sky high, then marked down. I have gotten two lovely cocktail dresses within the past two months for less than $40 at department stores, ones you won't see at a final discounter for a couple more years. I've always found the styles dated, the prices just as high as what you find on sale at department stores, just all picked over. We have a TJMaxx within walking distance of where we live and I rarely shop there. I never in my life thought I'd own such expensive luggage, my last 3 piece set cost like $60! They are very nice and durable but I got crappy luggage last year so it took some convincing! We paid I think $70 for the carry on and $80 for the 26" and I got home and found the original tags were for $260 and $300, much more than the "suggested" price. I had been eyeing some luggage and finally convinced my husband to let me get the 22" carry on and the 26" bag. For example the shirt that had the original $120 price on it said suggested was $40!! I also noticed that the suggested price is often MUCH lower than the real retail price. I was just browsing at TJMaxx and found 2 beautiful dresses for $20 each! I'm going to wear them on elegant night instead of my ball dresses to save space and be more comfy. It definitely takes some time to go through the massive amounts of junk to hopefully find a great deal or two. Oh, and wait, there is no phone number to call.Definitely hit or miss! There are only certain locations I go to and I found out our Marshalls gets new shipments on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I cannot send them back fast enough, oh wait, the site is saying that they never sent it to me yet so I can't start a return. I love Bobbi Brown and was so excited to try her new line. I cannot tell you how disappointed in these products and I cannot recommend any of them or the brand. The Face Pencil was good, but it is not as good as a doe-foot concealer. I had to use two pumps of Purity to get all of these products off my face- twice. I put some under my eyebrow and it burned and is still hurting. The Face Oil in Pink Opal used as a highlighter caused my foundation to separate. The Miracle Balm in Flushed is simply a worthless product that has no color payoff is super sticky (your hair sticks to it), smells, and has so many essential oils and plants essences that it burns the hell out of your eyes and makes your eyes water. You need to stir it every time because it separates. It is also so messy in the oily pot as to be unusable. It never dries down and feels very heavy. The foundation had so many essential oils it made my eyes burn and water. I ordered the foundation, miracle balm in Flushed, face pencil, and face oil pink opal. I finally pulled the trigger and tried Jones Road Beauty and it was a complete epic FAIL.
